A gift from Santa- Happiness Packed :)

Who says happiness is related to immaterial things only. Yes, I do agree that one cannot buy happiness but experiences and sense of satisfaction you get out of it really makes you happy.  We didn’t even realize with the passing years we have made our life so technology  gripped.33f7655

The above stated line is quite debatable as various pros and cons being associated with it. People think we have become slave of technology. But I don’t buy this thought as I feel my life has become an ease because of it. And how incomplete I feel without it. The people can relate to me especially bloggers. Imagine when your internet networks are weak or all together no network situation. What if your  storage disk gets crashed or your system gets corrupt and nothing is worse than missing your cell phone or breaking it. Few days earlier something similar happened which forced  me to ponder over a thought that technology has become part and parcel of our life.

17th December 2014 at 12:30 pm I was sitting in my office and working on some important project. Though it’s just first half of the day but I was feeling tired (due to work load or chilling winters) and I got an urge to have a cup of mocha. So I thought to stepped down to coffee shop. The moment I stepped outside my office a freezing wind blew against me. Coldness was chilling down my spine; it was a drastic change in weather. Instead of coffee shop I entered a departmental store to pick up some woolen gloves and socks (I still don’t know why I took such decision). So in less than 10 minutes I picked up the things and moved towards the billing counter. Paid the bills and got the packet, and the moment I opened the wallet to put my credit card back I dropped my phone (Galaxy S3).

Very casually I picked it up but after few minutes I realized that my phone screen got blanked. Still calm,I took off the battery and reinserted thinking it will start working but efforts went futile. Now that was a panic moment when I realized that I broke the screen of my phone 😦

I thought to give to a service center and get it repaired and meanwhile put the sim in black berry (my spare phone) which i got 4 years back. But an application freak like me who is active on wordpress, instagram, pinterest, twitter, fb and so on won’t get the charm to access all this on Black berry (no offence, I still love it) And that moment I realized that Breaking of phone is worst than a heart break. Sob, Sob & Sob that was all in my mind and heart.

To clear it, I am not 24×7 on internet or social media addict but yes to a level it has become a part of my life for good.

For few days I managed with my bb but couldn’t check insta, pinterest or wordpress nor can do skype call to my family. Alas, felt so deprived. Now on Saturday the secret Santa made me decided not to get my phone repair rather buy a brand new machine which can make my days normal and bring back the happiness.

On Saturday evening after office santa made me rushed to the Apple store to check the options. We were standing in mid of the store when a sales representative came towards me. He greeted me and before I could say anything  he handed over me a bag and told that its a gift for me and wished me Merry Christmas. Clueless, confused yet excited I took out the box from the packet and it was a brand new Apple I Phone 6.  It was a gift from my Santa who was standing next to me with a mischievous smile on his face and just a glance of a box made me felt it was a moment of “Happiness packed.”

P.S.  A special thanks to my secret Santa. And this blog is posted through my new machine.

Happy Christmas season. 🙂
